Requirements:
This position will be in a support role for a large data mart/data warehouse and little development will be necessary. However, the candidate should have a solid understanding of SQL and possess the ability to create queries and review code. Local candidates with solid SQL environment support experience and a background in BI will be given preference.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
CLIENT is looking for seasoned individual with broad yet strong technical proficiency in data analytics. The individual must be self-sufficient problem solver but also a collaborative team player. This individual should be able to look at data within tables and ensure it balances. Individual will be heavily responsible for the management of data quality within the environment and communicating data quality issues as they arise. Individual will be responsible for leading the correction of data quality issues on behalf of HCV-IT. Individual should be comfortable developing repeatable process for operations turnover as well as routinely verifying data quality.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
CLIENT is seeking resources to develop, monitor and ensure data consistency, integrity and full availability support within HCV-IT SQL Server 2008 R2 environment.
* Self starters that can take loosely defined assignments and drive them to structured work.
* Proven ability to drive from very high level concepts to a detailed understanding of business problems.
* Ability to conceptualize business and technical solutions; ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
* Strong background in architecting and designing complex solutions.
* Understanding of data and how it relates to sources.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to communicate complex ideas through simple pictures to a wide variety of audiences.
* Ability to understand data flows and recognizes issues in upstream systems.
* Be comfortable getting hands-on in technical solutions. Expectations include items such as coding complex components, debugging a problem component of the system, tuning an environment, or writing queries, or generating ad hoc reports.
* Be equally comfortable working with management, business SME’s and hands on development teams.
* Strong design skills in distributed technology including SQL Server 2008, SSIS and SSAS.
* Must have outstanding experience in creating complex SQL statements.
* 6+ years of IT experience and computer science / computer information systems bachelors degree
* Should have background and understanding in Business Intelligence and advanced analytics.
* Understand how to balance systems to check for accuracy.
* Have some experience with data modeling
