Job Description for a Contractor (Software Engineer):

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the development of product solution components.  Systems Engineers work with Business Analysts and Architects to understand business requirements and solution architecture of the product; they work with other Systems Engineers to produce integrated solutions based on project requirements; and with Quality Assurance Analysts and Operations Analysts to test, promote and deploy developed solutions.  Systems Engineers must adhere to coding standards and processes and contribute to technical code documentation.

 

·         Require 8+ years of solid hands-on experience developing distributed or client-server applications using all or almost all of the following technologies: object-oriented analysis and design, .NET (C#, ADO.NET, Win Forms), COM+, XML, HTML

·         Prefer 3+ year of extensive hands-on experience with .Net/C#

·         Proficient in enterprise architecture, web services, and/or internet security.

·         Understand software development life cycle

·         Must work well in team environment

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills.  Capable of working directly with business clients.

·         Computer Science/Engineering degree preferred.

·         Application development in Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio.NET 2008 environment.

·         C# (.Net framework 3.5)

·         WinForm Development

·         CAB module development

·         MVP design pattern

·         MS Office development skills – VSTO and/or VBA

·         COM / OLE

·         Inter process communications

·         Threading

·         Visio Design Tool

·         Exposure to SQL SPs development/Debugging

·         WCF a plus

·         TFS

·         SDLC

·         Good debugging skills

·         Creative problem solving skills

·         If any candidate has MS Office development skills – VSTO and/or VBA-it is big plus.
