Position: SAS Developer

Location: Long Island City, NY

Duration: Short term

Rate: $58/Hr On C2C

Availability: Immediate

 

Description:

• This is a technical role within the Risk Management organization. It requires a healthy balance of technical (programming), statistical data analysis and non‐technical (business analysis / management) skills.

• Enhance & implement the US LCB Early Warning triggers system, using SAS model developed by the modeling group.

• Apply statistical techniques, modeling skills in making the EW model more efficient

• Primary interface with the Technology and Risk Architecture teams to facilitate capture and transmission of data under a secure environment.

• Participate and Contribute as a SAS subject matter expert resource for the PARR group

Responsibilities

•Implement the monthly EW model for US LCB

•Capture relevant data required for the EW model from various systems –Impacs, Credit platform, GRR, Rapid/Credit Engine etc.

•Understand & improve the technical architecture of the EW model

•Serve as the risk reporting technical resource on all projects requiring SAS SME

•Enhance process to deliver EW reporting by cutting down on redundant code and making efficiency improvements

•Interface with the Credit Bureau's, the DM EW team, the risk architecture teams to seamlessly provide critical month end reporting

•Understand the statistical tools being used to develop the model and make maintenance adjustments every quarter

Competencies: Bachelor's degree required. Masters (or equivalent) degree preferred.

•Academic background in Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Accounting.

•Minimum of 7+ years experience in SAS environment in a Programming / Analyst role.

•Strong technical skills in SAS / Unix / SQL / Advanced Excel / SAS Certified Base Programmer / SA SEG / SQL / SQL Developer Toad with Oracle.

•Experience and understanding of banking products desirable.

•Knowledge of Citibank infrastructure is a plus.

•Excellent communication and presentation skills.

•Self starter, very organized, highly proactive.

•Well organized, has ability to meet up & communicate with senior managers.
