Position – Performance Architect

Location: Hoover, AL

Duration – 6months

Rate: $40/hr

 

Core Responsibilities:

·         Lead analysis of performance bottlenecks and identification of improvement opportunities. Drive to resolution.

·         Analyze for reliability, availability, and scalability.  Identify issues and make recommendations for improvement.

·         Mediating opposing viewpoints and negotiating equitable solutions to ensure successful and stable outcomes.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills. Develop and present executive level presentations.

·         Stay up to date on IT industry knowledge to advise on technical trends and techniques and apply them to the development of solution design

 

Additional Responsibilities:

·     Analyze a customer's business and IT challenges and design a comprehensive solution that integrates smoothly into the customer's environment

·     Proficient in the use of modeling techniques - such as use case, scenario modeling, prototyping, benchmarking, and performance modeling - to describe the problem space, to size the solution and to validate that the proposed architecture addresses the business requirements

·     Establish appropriate standards in the creation and implementation of solutions whenever project requirements call for or would benefit from the use of standards

·     Project management, change management, operations management and financial analysis are integral parts of most assignments

·     Create presentations to express business benefits of architectural recommendations.

o   Working with Red Hat Linux and Solaris 10

o   OS Level Tuning

o   Working / administering with Apache HTTP and Tomcat Servers

o   Working with Data Caching Technology, e.g.: Coherence, Oracle.

 

 

 Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in building multiple versions of large customer facing systems addressing performance and scale
• Enterprise wide deployment planning and support for mission critical applications for major releases, both business and infrastructure related
• Develops technical documentation on applications and systems
• Takes initiative, quick learner and has desire to seek answers from test team members and other groups
• Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams
