Role:

SharePoint / Project Server Consultant – 2 to 4 month contract

 

Top Skills:

Experience contractor who has implemented Sharepoint 2010

Experienced contractor   who has implemented Project Server 2010

Will be implementing, configuring and getting ready for performance point

 

Other skills highly preferred:

•       Bachelors and/or Master's in Computer Science or Information Technology from a leading university

•       Hands-on experience in designing and implementing portals and sites using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

•       6+ years of experience in developing Microsoft SharePoint based portals and sites

•       Experienced with configuring, customizing, and integrating SPS, SPF, Project Server 2010

•       Experienced with gathering business and technical requirements for SPS, SPF, Project Server 2010

•       In- depth knowledge in advanced topics like Workflows, Web parts, InfoPath 2007, BDC, Enterprise search, Excel Services and Custom Branding etc.

•       Microsoft SQL Server 2008 based delivery experience such as Dashboard development in SQL Server 2005/2008 Reporting Services and Excel Services is a plus

•       Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in Computer Science such as Algorithms, Object Oriented Design

•       Strong technical background in Microsoft platform: C#, Ajax, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML Web Services

•       Prior work experience working with Microsoft Corporation is a plus

•       Prefer IT services background with IT majors

 

Duties:

• Architect, advisor, contributor, and developer of SharePoint/Project Server 2010, and/or associated tools (SP2007 & WSS 3.0), to meet requirements and deliverables.
• Provide system administration for internal SharePoint/Project Server 2010 instances. • Lead internal knowledge transfer and training for SharePoint/Project Server 2010 resources.
• Support other team members in delivering SharePoint/Project Server 2010, and associated solutions.
• Facilitate and/or participate in meetings with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and present status reports.
• Conduct and support proof of concepts, pilot projects, testing and evaluating SharePoint/Project Server 2010 based solutions.
• Develop and deliver SharePoint/Project Server 2010 training, demos, educational presentations, and proposals to prospects, clients, partners, and groups.
• Deliver on challenging projects such as Workflow and integration projects using Microsoft SharePoint/Project Server 2010, InfoPath 2010
• Plan and architect portal based solutions, development of web parts
• Resolve technical queries raised by the project team and business groups
• Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues
• Troubleshoot technical problems in various projects and tune for performance
• Define and enforce coding standards, design styles and best practices
• Identify and streamline routine processes in a fast-paced environment
• Enforce and update the SharePoint coding standards for future code design, team based-development and code release management
• Research and evaluate software and hardware to enhance the development environment and process
