Job Title: Web Developer

Duration:  1 year long Contract

Location: Mountain View, CA

 

Duties      

The ideal candidate is someone who can implement CSS and JavaScript across multiple browsers, develop server-side solutions in JSP, and provide support for a backend Oracle database. Knowledge of agile project lifecycles is preferred.

 

Accountable for construction, implementation and documentation of efficient web applications that satisfy business requirements.

 

Create accessible dynamic interfaces with CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, particularly with the jQuery library.

 

Develop and maintain server-side pages using JSP and JSTL.

 

Oracle database support:  Write SQL queries, configure Weblogic JDBC connection, develop Spring application to access data.

 

Troubleshoot and fix issues found in existing or new implementations.

 

Skills        

 

Solid understanding of JSP, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XML and CSS.

 

Familiarity with design patterns, in particular MVC.

 

Experience installing, configuring and supporting any major database system (such as Oracle, MySQL, MS-SQL) in an enterprise environment.

 

Working knowledge of Weblogic and Apache server technologies.

 

Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a tight schedule.

 

Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Omniture Site Catalyst or Test and Target is a plus.

 

 

Education    

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
