Storage Admin

Location – El Segundo, CA

 

Please share profiles ASAP.        

 

·         6 +years of experience, min 3 yrs in Storage Administration

·         Analyze and resolve or escalate problems. Ensure integrity of supported environment. 

·         Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks. Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software.

 

·         Provide hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison. Liaise with customer accounts as required.

 

·         Perform configuration on AMS 2100 & AMS2300 storage platform. Have a good understanding of storage protocols like FC, IP & iSCSI. Add disks as needed to existing systems. 

 

·         Have good knowledge and administration of EMC Clariions and EMC DMX  and NetApp series storage product. Having Good understanding of SAN topology, Zoning, DR

 

·         Allocate shares/storage to new servers as desired. Maintain reports on disk utilization, availability and growth patterns.

 

·         Has applied knowledge of DAS, NAS, SAN. Good knowledge of Fiber Channel Switches & Brocade Switches.

 

·         Responsible for Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable.

 

·         Provides analysis of Environment and Best Practice knowledge transfer.

 

·         Perform and Follow process as per ITIL standard.
