Position: PHP Front-end/Back-end Web Developer
Location: La Crosse, WI
Duration:6 Months
Position Summary
This individual will join a skilled and growing online technology team working on a LAMP Stack based system. Attention to detail, reliability and consistent high quality programming are a must as our development is primarily based on Agile techniques and practices.
Requirements
· This position requires expert-level knowledge (5+ years) of the PHP development language, version 5, including concepts of Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, MVC architecture and recent PHP frameworks, including Zend.
· Will be interacting with MySQL 5+, in an environment that uses a mix of InnoDB and MyISAM, stored procedures, triggers and views.
· Will be expected to know and understand how to write well-formatted SQL queries.
· Should have a specific set of skills to grep through codebases, finding the source of bugs and issues quickly.
· Knowledge of subversion is required.
· Some basic skills using Linux/command-line tools is required.
Secondary Skills Include:
· Front-end skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and some of the JS Frameworks, like Dojo and jQuery.
· Some skills in Ajax and debugging JavaScript across multiple browsers is requested.
