Immediate Interview

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4 - 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Responsible for the design, development and administration of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Duties include performance tuning, monitoring, implementing efficiency improvements, software installs and upgrades, UNIX shell scripting, and physical and logical database design. Familiarity with ETL Tools and Web Applications. Determines database storage requirements and develops and maintains data dictionary. Designs and implements procedures to save and recover databases from hardware and software failures. Day-to-day care and feeding of all production databases.

 

Over 5 years of experience in DB2 Data Warehousing as a database administrator with application development experience, Experience in a large Multi-Partitioned DB2 database environement - Our database is currently 81 parititons, Strong Analystical & Design skils, Abilitiy to work well with chaning priorities: flexibility, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Project Development Life Cycle experience
