Required skills and experience

Installing and Configuring Microsoft SQL Servers

- Advanced level in Structured Query Language (SQL)

- Familiar with SQL best practices (drive configurations, tempdb settings, file distributions, etc.)

- Has knowledge of managing database users and security

- Has worked with large (>1TB) databases

Performing Database Backup and Recovery Duties

- This includes understanding different backup types (Full, Differential, Incremental)

- Has prior experience in developing backup and recovery procedures

- Familiar with Mirroring and Log Shipping

Monitoring, Tuning, Optimizing

- Has prior knowledge in designing and successfully executing maintenance plans

- Familiar with index tuning and custom statistics

- Advanced knowledge in understanding execution plans and how to optimize queries

- Able to identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks

- Deep knowledge in partitioned views and table partitioning

Other

- Familiar with SSIS and SSAS

- Intermediate level of programming in C#

- Has basic knowledge of MDX

Senior Actionscript & Flex contract developer to help with our product UI and streaming.

This person must:

have strong application development skills in AS3
be comfortable working with Flexbuilder, Eclipse, Ant or similar tool-sets
be familiar with latest video streaming abilities
be comfortable modifying an established Flash VOD product (such as flowplayer or JW Player)
have strong skills in communicating between AS and external supporting applications (Webservices, JSON)

Our player is the centerpiece of our web experience and must be flexible, secure, and intelligent. The person we are seeking must have strong application development instincts to drive this to successful completion.
