PeopleSoft Portal Consultant


Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6+ months

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on requirements gathering, analysis, development and implementation of requested upgrades, enhancements, changes to PeopleSoft Portal applications
• Provide technical support of the portal application working directly with clients in managing their requests, understanding their requirements and translating functional requirements to technical specifications through hands-on analysis
• Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft system related production errors to ensure the accuracy of corporate business critical systems. Research questions with respect to both maintenance and development activities. Interact with database administrators, security analysts and business system users in this effort
• Perform full life cycle software development
•  Participate in development of system test plans and acceptance criteria

Qualifications:

• Deep experience in PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal or Web 2.0
• Demonstrated expertise in Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Component Interface, and Process Scheduler.
•  Knowledge of portal features such as Content Management, Search, Security, and Single Sign-On
•  Knowledge of Web 2.0, WSRP, and JSR standards preferred
•  Knowledge of Software development in JAVA, AJAX, JavaScript and other scripting languages
•  Experience in web server applications and web services preferred
•  Excellent troubleshooting skills
•  Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and demands
•  Strong analytical, problem solving , and time management skills
